About Us

Our story

From a kitchen table to a creative table for ten.

the studio space

A small, sunlit room where the outside world goes quiet.

Our studio is intentionally intimate. A single long table seats ten guests — no more, no less; because we believe the best creative energy happens in small circles. Natural light spills across the workspace, tools and materials are laid out with care, and there’s always soft music floating in the background. The shelves are lined with dried fynbos, terracotta pots, colour-coded paint bottles, and the quiet hum of a laser cutter waiting for Monday morning. On weekends, the room transforms: aprons on, glasses filled, platters placed down the centre of the table, and ten people settle in for three hours of making. It smells like fresh coffee, eucalyptus, and sometimes warm soy wax. It’s cosy, unpretentious, and entirely yours for the session. If walls could talk, ours would tell stories of birthday laughter, first-date shyness, and proud reveal moments when someone holds up a canvas they never believed they could paint.

our people

Facilitators, hosts, and the friendliest voices in the room.

We’re a small team of practising makers, crafters, and genuinely warm humans who believe teaching is a form of hospitality. Every session is led by a facilitator who knows their craft inside out — but more importantly, knows how to put a room at ease. They’ll guide you step-by-step, laugh with you when things get a little messy, and celebrate your finished piece like it belongs in a gallery. Behind the scenes, there’s someone carefully packing your DIY kit, someone responding to your late-night WhatsApp booking query, and someone arranging the snack platter just so. We’re a female-founded, proudly local team that values kindness, patience, and the magic that happens when people make things together. When you visit, you’ll feel looked after — because you are.

Our Philosophy

Creativity lives in everyone. Sometimes it just needs a sip and a seat at the table

This is a space for slowing down. A place where your hands remember how to make, even if your mind thinks you’ve forgotten.

This is a space for slowing down. A place where your hands remember how to make, even if your mind thinks you’ve forgotten. Here, the first sip marks the beginning — a welcome drink that says, you belong at this table. There’s no pressure to be perfect, no need to be an artist. Just the slow rhythm of a brush on canvas, the quiet snip of thread, the gentle pour of resin, and the sound of laughter filling the room. A shared platter is passed, stories are swapped, and something shifts. Quiet strangers become comfortable companions. A blank page becomes a watercolour fynbos. A lump of clay becomes a mug with your thumbprint pressed into its side. These three hours are a small rebellion against a busy world — a gentle reminder that making something with your hands, in good company, is one of the simplest, deepest joys we have. And when you leave, you carry more than your finished craft. You carry a little more calm, a little more courage, and the quiet knowing that creativity lives in everyone — sometimes it just needs a sip and a seat at our table to come out.
